(Date)
Dear Representative or Senator (last name): Thank you for meeting with me on [insert date] to discuss the [insert foundation name] Foundation and how we serve our common constituents. As you may recall, we discussed a number of our projects impacting [insert state/district], including [insert great grant mentioned during the meeting]. I want to reiterate that the [insert foundation name] Foundation has zero tolerance for abuse of charitable dollars and supports holding those accountable who intentionally flaunt the law and the ethical underpinnings of philanthropy. As Congress continues to consider legislation affecting foundations, we want to work with you to ensure that any legislative remedy does no harm to the majority of foundations who adhere to current law. [Insert if applicable] I would like to invite you to tour one of the projects funded by our foundation. [Describe project or include information about potential site visit in this letter]. The [name of the project] will allow you to see concretely how our work benefits the community. I will be in touch with your district staff to work out a mutually convenient date. Again, thank you for taking time to meet with me. We at the [insert foundation name] Foundation look forward to working with you and your staff. In the meantime, please feel free to contact me for additional information about the [insert foundation name] Foundation and philanthropy in your [insert district/state]. Sincerely,
